Our Sleep Outside Series will feature Klymit employees, influencers, and others who inspire us to get outside. We will be sharing favorite hikes and camp spots, gear, recipes, and more. 

Name: Bart Miller

Position: VP of Sales 

Where: Currant Creek, Wasatch Range

Length: 120 miles of ATV and backpacking trails

Best time: Fall for the color and weather

Brief Summary: You can ride on ATV approved trails all day, or stop along the way and hike a few miles to meadows and mountain lakes.

What to bring: Lunch, water, layered clothing – mornings are in the 20s and afternoons in the 50s, rain jacket.


Gear: The new KSB 0 degree XL sleeping bag 

Top three features: Lots of room, perfect warmth for any night below freezing, snag free zipper when I need to get up in the middle of the night for….you know.

Best for: Cold nights outdoors

Recipe: Sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich 

Ingredients: bread, butter, egg, ground breakfast sausage, american cheese, mayo

Instructions: Heat your camp stove griddle to medium and apply butter. Brown sausage patties.  Toast both sides of your bread.  Fry one egg to over easy and add one slice of cheese to melt on top of the egg.  Apply mayo to your toast, add a sausage patty, add the egg + cheese.  Enjoy!
